I am enjoying the minimalist; privacy-first approach Mojeek offers. It is a breath of fresh air compared to mainstream search engines. I have been using it more frequently and had a feature idea that might be helpful for a lot of users: a date range filter for search results.
There are times when I am trying to find recent articles such as when I was researching tools while going through an AWS DevOps Course & it would have been super handy to narrow the search results to just the last week or month.
I think the Mojeek team has mentioned in this forum somewhere about its limitations mainly centring around having an accurate date associated with a page, but it works well for a variety of searches.
it’s probably not often people use this and so one has to remember the operators and type them out - how about a calendar icon that opens a menu with a slider for the year and 2 sliders for the date range?
date limited searches can be super valuable, yet using this is less than intuitive i think (not just mojeek)
Yes, it could. And at some point we expect to introduce it. The vastly bigger challenge is indexing reliable dates for a page; let’s just say it’s complicated. Of course, we are continually working to improve it.
