As a hobby I tinker with vintage computers, one of big things in the community is getting useable web browsers and search engines to work, mostly by stripping out pictures, ad bloat, tracking and making them more html1 compatible. This might sound niche but actually it’s quite a large community, lots on YouTube and could be a way to promote your engine and getting your name out there, using your engine would be better suited to as it’s more akin to the 90s search engine in practice. Definitely a plus for vintage computer enthusiasts.
See frogfind.com. I believe it’s DuckDuckGo based but uses php to strip out new code to make it work on old hardware. Would be so much better using mojeek.
