Shutting down our search proxy Leta | Mullvad VPN

Mullvad ran a Google search proxy for a few years, but it’s being shut down now.

The search industry continues to undergo big changes. Leta will not be able to follow and will likely become less useful over time.

This vague statement suggests Google is making continuing to cache search results hard for them.

Really loved letas UI.
Hey now i am testing mojeek again xP (search results are not really good for me rn)

Btw has anyone thought of doing a lite.mojeek.com version aka a super minimal version of the results in the middle of the screen kinda like html.duckduckgo.com?

html.duckduckgo.com is the non-JavaScript version of DuckDuckGo. And, Mojeek already functions without JavaScript. So, I am not sure why you are referring to DuckDuckGo.

Can you attach a screen capture of the page that you like from DuckDuckGo? Or, can you say more about what you would like to change about Mojeek?

@mike mainly that the html version is super minimal in terms of UI.
Not 100% fan of mojeek ui currently :confused:

Edit: one big downer is not having favicons, and I find it that the search results to close and hard to see from a glance what corresponds to what

What elements would you like removed?

Not really removed, more so change a bit the margins, foreground/background color, so to hiligh the correct elements etc
