Safe search enforcement

Safe search enforcement is supported by all major search engines but not yet by mojeek.
I work for a internet filtering company and I have seen that a significant number of clients in the educational sector ban all search engines that do not support enforcement of safe search.
For the benefit of Mojeek itself and all those educational institutions I think it would be a great feature to implement this.
Thanks,
Marcus

Welcome @mhkool. In case you didn’t know Safe Search is available

I should add that this was mentioned previously on the community here.

Much of the required changes are in place, and we will see if can get the final pieces pushed through sooner rather than later. Thank you @mhkool for the encouragement.

You make a solid point. Safe search enforcement has become a baseline requirement for many schools and institutions, and search engines that don’t support it often get blocked entirely. Since Mojeek focuses heavily on privacy and independent indexing, adding a reliable forced safe search option would actually strengthen its appeal in the education sector rather than compromise its principles.

Right now, the lack of enforceable safe search is probably limiting Mojeek’s adoption in filtered networks, so implementing this feature would benefit both Mojeek and the institutions that want to use privacy friendly alternatives without sacrificing compliance. It’s definitely a worthwhile feature request.
