A few days ago I saw a toot from metasearch Metager on Mastodon announcing they had added Mojeek to their list of search engines. I can’t confirm because Metager requires login but it seems like a good privacy match.

Yes. Mojeek was added quiet some time ago. Might even have been 2024. Like Kagi, and other metasearch engine including some who have asked to remain confidential, they use the paid API.
I have a paid account of MetaGer but at this moment only Brave and Serper (= Google) are used in the results.
You can select it in sources of metager settings.
