It will be interesting to see how Google and Bing respond to this.
I’m also interested in seeing how the Australian public reacts to this over time.
Another thought is, there are opportunities for privacy search engines that have no login.

I’m Australian and I haven’t had a problem with that (luckily)
Could also be that Google and Bing do the age verification through your Google and Microsoft account, and I don’t know if they’d just take what you say for your age.
Also turns out it was introduced … on my birthday. >:(
